Directions to Watership Down Stud

From M4 Junction 12: Leave the M4 at Junction 12 (Theale) and take the A4 sign posted to Newbury. After about 4 miles turn left onto the A340 to Aldermaston and then turn right onto the B3051 to Kingsclere. Turn right onto the A339. After half a mile there is a roundabout (Kingsclere Roundabout). Turn left towards the village of Kingsclere. After 400 yards turn right on a sharp left-hand bend. After another 400 yds fork left (signed to Sydmonton) where the road swings right. Two miles from Kingsclere go straight across a crossroads and a mile further on there is a large farmhouse and farm buildings on the left-hand side of the road.

From M3, Basingstoke: From Basingstoke proceed north towards Newbury on the A339. Continue as above from the Kingsclere roundabout.

From M4 Junction 13: From Junction 13 proceed south on the A34 (Winchester Road) for approximately six miles, at which point there is an exit road signed Burghclere, Highclere Castle, Beacon Hill. Follow the signs for Old Burghclere and Beacon Hill. Proceed for approximately one and a half miles and turn left sign posted Old Burghclere and Kingsclere. Approximately one mile along this road you will pass the main gates and lodge house. Soon after this you will come to the farm buildings and farmhouse on the right hand side.

From A34: Take the slip road signed to Old Burghclere and Kingsclere. At the T-junction turn right to cross the dual carriageway and turn left at the next T-junction. After 400 yards turn right signed to Old Burghclere and Kingsclere. Approximately one mile along this road you will pass the main gates and lodge house. Soon after this you will come to the farm buildings and farmhouse on the right hand side.
